Walker White’s review published on Letterboxd:
Essential. This will be a future mainstay for me. Also I have really fallen for Ingrid Bergman. The way her performance style is placed within a dramatically different setting here brings out all of her best qualities. Just watching her eye movements in the car scenes alone is mesmerizing. Voyage in Italy through its sense of discovery of the physical world (which really was groundbreaking at the time) becomes a film about love and relationships, history, mortality, and "sight" both cinematic and spiritual. It is also an invaluable portrayal of one woman's existential crisis.
