I wasn’t particularly excited or anticipating this. I actually just low-key forgot about it after it’s announcement. And for the most part it’s what you think it would be. I feel the whole Holmes thing is a bit overdone now and doesn’t feel there’s much life left to be injected in it.
My biggest worry going in was basically Millie. I quit watching Stranger Things midway through it’s atrocious second season and it’s really the only role I know she’s done. Well that and Godzilla of course but she didn’t strike me as talented above the doe-eyed girl confused about everything. I can say she’s easily the best thing about this. She’s very cute and versatile in this, making it at least more entertaining than it had any right to be. It was okay but not really sturdy enough for me to commit in more sequels or spin-offs if they decided to go that route. But for a morning watch of nothing to do, you get your money’s worth and then some.
