Waldo’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Safdie brothers wanted to direct a real down and dirty film about drug addiction on the mean streets of New York and then they met Arielle Holmes. She became their way in to that world, not only that, she was given the task to write the screenplay and star in the film. The story of this girl is worthy of another film entirely about that journey. The film is totally raw about the day to day grind of scoring dope all the time, Holmes got her real junkie friends aboard so it feels real as hell. Sometimes uncomfortably real. Crazy musical score. The real star here is Arielle, I just wish and hope her cleaning up lasts and I see her in more stuff in the future.
