Waldo’s review published on Letterboxd:
A crackerjack script by Tom Holland, strong directing by Richard Franklin, Dean Cundey's photography and Jerry Goldsmith music score. They made sure not to fuck up this part two for the original Psycho. Made 22 years after the one Hitch made, it's a small miracle this film works as well as it does. I enjoyed the macabre, mysterious elements, the acting from the cast. Loved that Vera Miles was still around, reprised her role from the original and was such a strong part of this sequel. Of course, Perkins who's very good as Norman. I hadn't seen it in decades. The only thing seared into my mind was the shovel scene. Really enjoyed revisiting it.
