Even watching it on basic cable with commercials and shit this crime epic doesn't lose an ounce of its power. All the cast is excellent, Nolan's direction is frantic, gritty, drenched with dread, that increasing humming raises the pulse but Ledger, man, it makes me weep that this guy isn't around anymore. An actor that gave the greatest performance ever on a superhero movie. An agent of chaos he calls himself, a man not interested in anything but in the destruction of everyone's soul. I love that bastard. Joker convincing Dent in the hospital to follow his true nature and blowing up that hospital has to be one of my favorite scenes ever.
