Chris’s review published on Letterboxd:
Fun enough I suppose. But considering I haven't rewatched Interstellar and I think I liked that more, I don't know if I will watch this again to straighten out the mental kinks the plot offers.
Not sure if I should aggressively dislike or quietly respect a movie that has the cheek to make the villain say one of the most trite, tired lines in the history of writing: "If I can't have you, no one can," and then basically turn that trite, tired line into a perfectly distilled explanation for his maniacal plan.
Anyway, going to see a movie in the theatre tomorrow for the first time in 18ish months. Thought I should see the movie I decided not to see in the theatre last time theatres were open here. Present Self is not disappointed with Past Self's decision.
