The first time seeing this in roughly 5 years and it's still the blast I remember it being. While it doesn't always age perfectly all the time & some of the script elements really don't feel utilized enough I've always had a soft spot for this franchise, story, world & characters. There isn't a dull moment in here as the film constantly builds to its big, bombastic set pieces that are so ridiculously over-the-top & excessively brilliant it's practically impossible not to want to jump out of your chair with excitement. From the visual presentation to the incredible score, everything in here is a feast for the eyes & ears.
We need Gore Verbinski back, now.
