Warhawk’s review published on Letterboxd:
Beautiful score, really engaging cinematography and sets, and exciting action make Goldeneye one of the best Bond films ever released. I struggle to take Brosnan seriously, and the same is mostly true for Scorupco. Brosnan definitely feels like an actor rather than Bond, and only at times does Scorupco succeed at feeling like a computer person at all. Janssen is terrifying as the sadistic Onatopp who gets her BDSM jollies off by killing people, and Bean is pretty decent too. I love the Communist statues scene for its aesthetic, loved the tank chase scene, and overall it is a lot of fun to watch. The end makes almost no sense and is cheesy like many other Bond films, but this was my first Bond so it really is hard to knock it.
