The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

    Musical Month No 15

The film is not a full-on musical though there are several lip-synched songs throughout (NB. the musical based on the film is of course).

Bernadette: Now listen here, you mullet. Why don't you just light your tampon, and blow your box apart? Because it's the only bang you're ever gonna get, sweetheart!

Mitzi: You know, there are two things I don't like about you, Felicia... your face. So how 'bout shutting both of them?

    Musical Month No 13

Wow. A Japanese rap musical about the rivalry between Tokyo gangs. Vibrantly colourful, great camera work, chock full of originality, capoeira, some wrestling style moves (including quite bizarrely the Code Red), sexy girls and a small cameo from Takayama.

The story of Milla (a schoolgirl with cancer) & Moses (the small-time drug dealing older boy who comes into her life). The wig-work in this film is tremendous - Eliza Scanlen looked stunning in every one. All the characters are well rounded & believable. I felt like i'd been on a real emotional journey at the end.
