Carl Hudson’s review published on Letterboxd :
Haunting, moody and mysterious, this french serial killer thriller is good, but not great.
Vincent Cassel and Jean Reno are awesome in it, and the director did a very good job indeed, creating grisly and icky imagery without overdoing it, as well as some other nearly poetic shots. Though the story is a bit too conspiratorial and silly, the acting and direction nearly make up for it aside from some dull chase-scenes and such.
Plus, you gotta love, or at least admire, it when a serious and atmospheric crime thriller (at least in the beginning) takes a break to have a brutal fight scene scored with Street Fighter-similar music, complete with voice overs like "COMBO!" and "GAME OVER!". It was awesome.
