    Baldwins capacious presence carries an otherwise routine documentary to dizzying heights and yet it still cannot begin to compare to his writings.
    Baldwin's mind, therefore, his analysis was like a predator circling its prey, watching its habits and tendencies and understanding it better than it understood itself. This documentary captures that when it captures him and when it reads his writing.
