Ultimately this is just a sequence of jump scares but done better than most of this type of horror
It is almost unbelievable that an animated feature has managed to capture the horrors of war better than just about any live action attempt, but here we are.
Just simply heatbreaking
Left me thinking quite a bit about Ivan's Childhood, in regards to the use of children to depict the fallout & impact of a war
I need to watch this again and soon, not sure if the last 20 mins make this a real triumph or ultimately a failure. Science fiction that doesn't just hand wave the science part of the term is always good to see.
I'm split on the netflix situation, it is great that more people will see an inventive film like this but a shame so few will see this the way it was designed
