Siobhan Frederick’s review published on Letterboxd:
I'm not afraid to admit that the critic reviews did have me bummed out, but once the movie started playing and Bruce's back story started playing, the fear instantly washed away.
The story was extremely intense, and the score wasn't short of amazing. There's so much depth to the story, that I would've gladly say through another hour to just soak in everything they had to offer. There was only a few moments where I didn't feel myself on the edge of my seat. The only real gripes I have is that the pacing was slow to pick up, but once it did there was no stopping.
Gal Godot was phenomenal, Ben Affleck is now my favorite Batman, and Henry Cavill turned me into a Superman fan. Jesse Eisenberg as Lex was fantastic. He truly showed the extent of his acting. The cameos of Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash are really well placed.
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the movie! As a DC fan, they definitely went the extra mile to give the fans what we wanted. The positives outweigh the negatives by miles, and I'm definitely looking forward to the future of the DCCU.
