Matt’s review published on Letterboxd:
Tenet would be difficult enough to understand if any of the dialogue was vaguely comprehensible in the first place, but given that it is absolutely impossible to understand what anyone's saying about 80% of the time, I got to the end of this and honestly didn't know what was happening. The sound mix is unforgivably bad - the music is loud and heavy and makes your chest thump and I love that - but jesus christ, it would be nice to hear someone speak!
And in spite of that - I still really enjoyed it. Goes some way towards solving Nolan's problem with action, it's obviously gorgeously shot, and it's exciting as all hell. They even let Kenneth Branagh do a Werner Herzog impersonation. What's not to like?
