    Look, I honestly went into this fully willing to enjoy it and find something worthwhile here. And I'd say the first 47 minutes and 40 seconds there was a decent film. Not good, mind you, but I was into it and I was sitting in my chair, eating my leftover Halloween candy like, "...this is 'aight I guess."

    Then the white girl crashes the church service and from there it devolves into your rote exorcism…

    I remember previously having an issue with the ending of this film. I hadn't really listened to what Tommy Lee Jones' Sheriff Tom Bell was saying. I hadn't analyzed it, or made any attempt to contextualize it with what I had just watched.
