this screamed YA novel narrative all over it. don't wanna be that person but it was pretty predictable from the start. didn't need to read the novel to find out the cliche plotpoints. can't believe my sister made me stay up late to make me watch this with her.
epitome of a summer blockbuster!
and as if i wasn't already afraid of the vast unknown of our deep blue waters, my anxiety has skyrocketed. guess you can remove "scuba diving" in my bucket list now.
big props to John William's score, that "dun dun dun dun" added a quality build up of thrill and danger that will never NOT bring you on the edge of your seat!
"DONT FEED ME ANYMORE LINES FROM MONSTERS INC. IT PISSES ME OFF!"
finally got around to watching this and wow..... it lived up to its hype! the way every beat of the song went in sync with the action i just... POETIC CINEMA! and the colour schemes, the soundtrack, the cast, basically everything about the film is just something else. will definitely have a rewatch asap.
Denis Villenueve, Roger Deakins & Hans Zimmer is the Trio that I didn't know I needed. I am shaking in my boots ya'll! Blade Runner 2049 is nearly as perfect as its predecessor. Villenueve's signature style of filmmaking is clearly evident and combine that with Deakins' magnificent eye for cinematography and Zimmer's bone-chilling score composition, you get a sci-fi masterpiece! I don't know man, I'm still in lost for words.
