The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

    ★★★★½

Evil, psychotic Brad Pitt is a freaky delight. Other than that, this is one unique movie, with its poetic narration, awkward conversations, dark atmosphere and moody, amazing shots. The music fits perfectly with the ominous ambience and the great cast couldn’t be doing much better than this. It’s a thriller-western and it’s insanely good, but even though it has a nice surprise role at the end, it lingers a bit too long after the fateful assassination.

I loved watching all these sweet people be kind to and passionate about cats so much that it didn’t bother me this doc is actually quite unstructured and meandering, even quite pointless to some degree. I can’t help being totally objective, because I fucking love cats and this just made me feel good. Every little story about feline/human relationships made me smile and I’m sure as hell going to visit Istanbul!

Kate McKinnon is a blast for about half of the movie and there’s some nice action and ultra violence to keep you on the edge of your seat for a while, but it all wears thin too quickly.

After watching this movie I felt like having one of those hot summer holidays from yesteryear again where you don’t have to do anything for weeks but get bored and horny.
