Wouter Brugge’s review published on Letterboxd :
Disney turned this movie, almost scene for scene, into an animated version 35 years later, but the original is even more fun! And way more impressive, with huge setpieces, masses of extras and great stunts. Errol Flynn as Robin Hood is a whirlwind of positive energy and has charisma coming out of his tights, while the great Claude Rains' villainy as Prince John is convincingly vile and Olivia de Havilland entices as Maid Marian, an innocent but strong female lead. All the fun and spectacle jumps of the screen in beautiful Technicolor, making this one of the most entertaining pre-war movies I've ever seen.
