    The Amusement Park

Remember, as you watch the film, one day you will be old.

What was produced back in 1973 still held social awareness on how society treat others today. Especially those older in age, which it doesn't stop there. Hitting on wealth, health, and other subjects.

This was a horror film for sure. It was a social and realistic horror as seen through the eyes of Romero and the writer Wally Cook. The visual and audio of this definitely stays with…

    My Bloody Valentine

I recently got the steelbook edition of this movie from Shout Factory.
I’ve always watched this movie around this time but rarely got to see the uncut version until now.

Man, the uncut version rules. The deaths are quite detailed and nasty. The effects are awesome and the story is pretty cool.  I am surprised that the franchise only has this and the 2009 remake to exist. But I guess you can only do so much with a miner that…

    Kill List

Kill List checked off boxes for gore and kills as it slow burns to the end of the list.

The story was a slow pace and often slog on the dialogue. Honestly I started to dislike Jay right from the start of this film and onward. The characters in general was a love/hate relationship of dealing with them since they often had moments I want to engage into their personality.

The effects were pretty good. Especially as we near the…

  • Roadgames

Roadgames was a fun win win watch of thriller, suspense, and ozploitation style scenes.

The movie had a good thriller feel and often a horror element to it. The story was basic cat and mouse but you'll get some scenes that feel similar to a Hitchcock movie like Psycho. The characters varied in personality and range with Stacy Keach's character of Quid being the most interesting.

We also get a good character role from Pamela aka "Hitch" played by Jamie…

    Blow Out

Blown Out held a dramatic crime thriller story with giallo flavoring.

The story was great as we get character development, crime thriller vibes, some comedic moments, and well performed cast. What this does visual and audio wise often makes for a watch again like Travolta's character over the incident that started it all.

De Palma used his split screen magic along with great camera shots and lighting to make this movie gritty, sleazy, and dark when it needed to be.…

    Fear Street: 1994

Fear Street: 1994 starts the trilogy going with a bloody romp of 90's vibes and retro slasher appeal.

This was far from being your usual Goosebumps story. With 90's music selection accompanying the story, this film definitely takes what the book series Fear Street made and created a good watch for those into the books or even know of the author from other works.

Keeping strong in the young adult theme and era, this being the first of the trilogy…
