    Lisa Frankenstein

Quite the twisted love story with a Frankenstein vibe gave life into the movie. The setting of this being in the 80’s helps the story hit a note to be engaging with Lisa and her journey.

Even with the movie being PG 13, you will have some blood shed and sexual moments you won’t expect.  The characters can be a bit lacking in being fleshed out more but you have to take that with the movie rating. Since this will hit definitely audience  viewers differently.

Overall this was a great watch.

    Handling the Undead

Viewed at Sundance Film Festival 2024

Coming from writer John Ajvide Lindqvist, who wrote Border (2018) and Let the Right One In (2008), came this story of loss and the dead. In this case, the undead.

Handling the Undead will be something different from the previous two movies based on his written work with this one being a slow paced viewing of unconditional love and unresolved loss among a set of characters in this movie. Much of the movie will…

A bizarre ride of stop motion and madness as we get twisted sounds haunting us throughout the movie.

Twisted imagery plague the story in all the right ways. Spiraling into a finale that might not be satisfying for everyone. The effects were on display and made for some bloody moments.

Overall this was a great watch that might not hit everyone the same way as it feels artsy and the story dives deep into being psychological.

Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part Two

Similar to part one, this one will be geared towards those who followed the RWBY series as much of the storyline will involve the characters and their history in their world.

The action was pretty decent but nothing outstanding. We do get moments of character development among Ruby, Superman, etc.

Overall this was a decent watch. Not a crossover many will flock to see but if you are a fan of both franchises, it might be worth a look.

    Everything Everywhere All at Once

    Multiple universes, multiple possibilities.

A sci fi action adventure for the year was what this one became. The story was indeed Everything Everywhere All at Once.

The characters was great and shine in their own right. Comedic moments were pretty much hit for the biggest portion of the movie. The different universes get more crazier than the last. The fighting choreography was well done.

And with everything happening, this movie still put a focus on the outcome of Evelyn and…

Time to cut out the cancer.

James Wan drove in the gore and psychological twist in this movie.

The story started out one way and soon turned its path a different way that made it interesting.  The characters were decent and carry the story. However it wasn’t a strong engage to these characters. Leaving the kills a bit meh. Gory for sure but they didn't stand out.

I will say the twist in this was cool. As much as this…
