I watched half of this over a year ago, but when it left streaming a day earlier than I expected I had to wait for SPL's single copy to come through. But Kore-eda's like... no worries. I can stomp all over your heart with this second half a year later just as easily as today.

The way he deftly avoids melodrama & instead reveals the lived-in, delicate truth every single time is astonishing.
