Man, I'm glad I didn't realize this was from the same director as Furie ahead of time, or that would have raised my expectations. As it was, I didn't super care if it was good or not as I have a personal commitment to seeing every Asian film that Pac Place books (that isn't 3 hours of CCP propaganda), so here we are.
Anyway this wavered between okay and making no sense, but wound up feeling more effective than it was because - except for five very strange minutes - I was the only person in the theater. Nice work from Lâm Thanh Mỹ, & some solid set design, but also some super dodgy explanations and at least one victim who truly had it coming (assuming I understood what was going on, which maybe one shouldn't.)
