    Everybody has been slapping “camp” all over this, which I can definitely accept because it’s pretty funny, but I also pretty quickly became morbidly rapt by the passive surreal fucked-up-ness of the situation they gradually construct. I know Portman is definitely older than Melton in real life, but in one scene she specifically says they’re both 36 which lends so much to his bizarre repressed stuntedness. His face looks young, maybe partially because he’s most famous from a show purportedly about going to high school, whereas we’ve been around the block with Portman a few times. Looked great on 35.
