The amount of utterly braindead people who lack an ounce of critical thinking ability and visual literacy will never cease to amaze me. Does CUTIES consist of some provocative moments? Undoubtedly. But I completely fail to see how this film propagates the hyper-sexualization of young girls in any way, especially considering each provocative narrative beat or image is met with immediate commentary and swift backlash and consequences for the characters.

    The Tragedy of Macbeth

Out of all of Shakespeare's most famous plays, Macbeth has always the most stone-cold for me. And Coen captures that iciness in such a viscerally effective way utilizing stone-cold filmmaking, editing, performances, production design, architecture, and sound. It's simply a majestic combination of every single element of filmmaking working together with perfect cohesion all leading to a single, clearly defined vision. Amazing stuff from beginning to end, not a single moment, shot, or beat goes overlooked.
