The year is 2015, I'm the most excited I've ever been for a movie with The Force Awakens. It lived up to everything I wanted it to be and still holds up to this day. Yes, I know it's essentially a beat for beat remake of the first movie, but I don't care. It's still has great writing, directing, acting (especially from Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Adam Driver), hilarious comedy, excellent action, editing and effects. It's just…
This...exists. I like Benedict Cumberbatch as much as the next person, but it's weird to see him try to be Jim Carrey when he would be a great Boris Karloff. The animation is beautiful and to it's credit, it is more appealing to look at than the Jim Carrey version. I do like the ending, it's different, but still true to the spirit of the original story. It's not awful, it's just a mediocre kids movie you'll just immediately forget about after watching. Btw, Tyler, the Creator made an EP of songs for this movie and that alone gives it some value.
