Really it's the cinematography that carries the film, the rest is fairly meh.
- Accidentally watched the first half of the film without subtitles which really intensified the experience.
-Obviously the principle of the whole film is super impressive.
- Definitely feel they pushed it too far in the last third and went 'Full Godless'. Such a shame because most of the film, the first third in particular, was so natural and relatable. The cafe scene especially so.
Gold plated turd. Truth is, I enjoyed some of it. But...
The worst thing is how much potential the film had. There's clearly been so much money thrown at it and it leads to some beautiful landscapes and artistic worlds. Furthermore they have one of the best actors in the world right now playing an iconic characters whose story has been brilliantly set-up through the last film, and it's all wasted.
There is no cohesion whatsoever and the film suffers…
