My network provider fortuitously offered me 3 free months subscription to Disney+, which is where this 6-part documentary mini series is available in the UK.
Atmospherically shot in black & white, and with access to excellent clips and stills, this is 3 hours of Paul McCartney talking about many of his best (mostly Beatles) songs to producer Rick Rubin.
Rubin plays about with his mixing desk to bring out specific aspects of the songs and Paul demonstrates on piano and guitar.
I loved the fact that many of the songs weren't the most obvious choices and that they analysed quite a number of John and George songs as well as those mostly associated with Paul.
Half a point off for use of a few of Paul's standard anecdotes but this has enough new and different stuff to keep even the most fanatical of Beatles/McCartney disciples happy. Fab!
