This movie is very slow and repetitive. It's kind of surprising because 1) I'm a dog person, and 2) the setup from the trailer seems great. I never really bought handsome Channing Tatum (CT) and his Hollywood muscles as an army guy. The dog was convincing though. (ha) The listless plot really hurts this movie. Maybe creativity overall is the problem, hence the movie title: Dog. (smirk)

The new Star Wars is a good movie and is worth seeing. There's a lot of "inside stuff" for extreme Star Wars fans which didn't really interest me much. I've watched Captains 3-4 times now. The movie math here: different plus good equals 5 bill-stars.
Captains is a unique experience. It's wonderfully unpredictable, interesting, and most importantly, intimate. Shatner does a great job interviewing each of the captains and getting them to share their life experiences. There are so many great moments, I know I'll watch Captains again at some time in the future.
