William Ross’s review published on Letterboxd:
I still think this is probably Miyazaki's best film, with only Nausicaä offering real competition; Miyazaki's improvisation of plotting and fantasy conceits manage the dueling needs of a unified narrative and imaginative mythical sprawl better than many of his other films (certainly better than the excellent but imperfectly-structured Spirited Away).
This was my first time watching the dub. Grading on the curve, it's a good dub; it's also easily inferior to the original audio. So it goes.
