Captain Rowdy’s review published on Letterboxd:
Housebound is a satisfactory horror-comedy. Neither super scary or super funny. But there's a nice balance. The climax is very thrilling and a film that seems very conventional takes a turn towards the odd and becomes much more intriguing. Kylie isn't a very likable main character but eventually she has so much to do that it ceases to matter. The mechanics of the film cover it up nicely. The most likable character is Kylie's mom, who is also the funniest. The humor of Housebound and her's especially, is why I cared about her the most. This is a well made movie, I wished it was scarier, but there was one or two moments I could say totally got me. Otherwise, its an enjoyable experience.
