Trouble with the Curve ★★½

Another incredibly predictable and superficially emotional Eastwood film that's actually a quite enjoyable watch due to its genuine cast (except for its cardboard protagonist). Adams, Timberlake, Goodman and Lillard put in some great performances as characters that do not allow as much dimensionality on paper as they are able to provide them on screen, but the narrative itself - while uplifting - doesn't really stand up to scrutiny.
