They sure don’t make kids movies like this anymore.
Fright Fest 2019; Film Number Twenty-Two:
I’m going to preface this with I am not a huge fan of the original; HOW-FUCKING-EVER, that film is a masterpiece compared to the drivel that is this remake. It is honestly hot garbage and I kind of wish I never saw it.
I don’t typically write scathing reviews of things. I’m usually the type that goes “oh that wasn’t for me.” With this though, it just never needed to exist. People always look…
Typically I don’t feel a length of a film can be to its detriment, but IT Chapter 2 could’ve benefited from it being a bit tighter. I felt the main cast for the adults worked very well together and the story took off in directions I didn’t see coming, but I loved anyway. The scares were a bit lacking in my opinion but didn’t effect the film too much.
I’ll always hold this story close to my heart and I felt that Chapter 2 did a good job at concluding what Chapter 1 started.
