William Evans’s review published on Letterboxd:
I saw this opening night in Arizona. I remember a forty something trucker dude during the beginning, clearly drunk with a beer in a brown bag screaming, "YEAHHHH JOHNNY CASH!!!" Later, during the rehabilitation scenes, he was loudly sobbing. When June says yes to Johnny's proposal, he stood up and cheered. At the end he gave a standing ovation then turned around and told everyone in the audience that it "was the best movie ever made."
I remember thinking that I would never enjoy a movie that much. I don't think I have.
