Skims so much, starts so many threads only to ditch them again.
There's a bit early on in the film where the band passionately talk about how they want to break the formula, because formulas are stale and boring. Clearly the filmmakers did not agree. Biopics are generally interesting, but to make one about such an icon so dull is beyond me. This was as generic and anemic as they come.

I've seen a fair few films in my time but hands down I've never personally related to a film more than this gem right now. Some of the conversations Tony has with his mum, I've had in real life with my mine. It's a great feeling to be represented but also makes you unequivocally uncomfortable at some of the shit the characters have to put up with.
