Khya’s review published on Letterboxd:
How an insane scoring! Yes, it is that good. The OSTs especially the ones sung by Rossa led Something in Between to its great potential as a teen movie. With unfamiliar plot unlike the other Indonesian teen movies, it indicated how the director want to start the genre anew despite the rough execution and talent selection. Junior sure has the skill and the look, but our feeling watching him as high school chick remained uneasy. However Nichol seemed to carry hard the story lines by acting out two different characters with contrast translation, it might also mean that other little details in the dialogues and narratives help him outstand other casts.
(unlike familiar Indonesia teen movies you used to know/5)
