    Pygmalion’s Ugly Season

Well I loved the music but unfortunately I just really dislike this really cheap looking style of cgi

If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power

I'm all for letting women write their own maximalist high budget power fantasies. Also haven't seen a film have this much fun with it's costumes in a while, really cool

Watched this for the first time in years and I have to come to terms now with the fact that this movie already feels dated. It feels like the movie is so concerned with the idea of subverting the audience's expectations about what a Disney princess movie is yet it is painfully un-subtle in it's storytelling because it doesn't trust said audience.
When I hear the characters ramark on the one-day-engagement of Anna I don't feel the humor of a…

Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar

Having high functioning anxiety and ptsd is funny because I can watch a horror movie, find it truly horrific and despite that still enjoy the experience and be able to rewatch it but a joke in a silly comedy film can trigger me to the level that I will probably never try and watch it ever again.(the joke wasn't offensive or anything and it's not the movie's fault, that's just a risk I have to take)

Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters

Visuals and music go absolutely crazy. Was a bit too lost in the sauce to understand anything that was going on past the hour mark but maybe that just means I'll have to rewatch it in the future to fully digest it. Would recommend regardless

The Man Who Fell to Earth

1 star for ambition, extra half a star because the scene with the cookies made me laugh real hard. Really doubt this would get that much attention if it didn't have bowie in the starring role. The constant zoom-ins made it almost unwatchable

    Porco Rosso

What really jumped out at me on a second watch is just how subtley beautiful this film is. Even when the location is not that exciting the backgrounds are so pretty and rich with atmosphere, just gives the whole movie a really lush feel. Unfortunately it also became clearer this time around how dull and uninteresting this story feels for me. This is one of Miyazaki's shorter films and still it feels like it drags on in comparison to his…
