    Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: Quentin Tarantino’s love letter to Hollywood and Sharon Tate. 

    Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is not like other Tarantino movies. It is funnier than his other movies. It’s almost comedy-driven instead of focusing on action. Oh and it’s not about revenge!

    This is probably my second favorite of his filmography because of how close it is to my favorite, Inglorious Basterds. 

    Tarantino takes his time showing and building the setting of 1969’s Hollywood…

    Yorgos making up for not having any dogs in dogtooth, and any lobsters in the lobster by having both of them in The Favourite. However a sacred deer is yet to be seen.

    This movie made me think about what we could’ve probably had if this director Julius Onah had the same freedom he had in this movie while making The Cloverfield Paradox. Even if you’re not a fan of this type of movie, you could tell that he wanted to present this story in a very specific way with complete control over the tone. And while doing that he keeps the audience thinking and second guessing constantly.

    I have no idea why I watched this... It’s not bad, it has some cool visual moments, but I’m not the targeted audience and I didn’t care about a single thing that was happening. But that considered, it could’ve been worse.
