    Captain America: Civil War

    ★½

Flop. Felt like an Avengers movie vs. it being about Captain America. Either way, they pit the Avengers against each other just so they could battle. The angle was weak.

For me, the Avengers series was always blander compared to the individual superhero movies because it's more about throwing each celebrity cast member a line. Too many characters who each have an opinion weakens a story.

So, the fact that this felt like an Avengers movie was a fail in my book. Or maybe it's because I miss Captain America as a blonde.

    Baby Driver

    ★★★★

The realization that GTA V is exactly like Baby Driver (or vice versa). 😏

Except Baby Driver has developed characters, kickass monikers (Baby, Buddy, Darling), and the most fantastically orchestrated Mickey Mousing (I just looked up that term) that I have ever seen.

    Awesome.

III and IV are the more “boring” ones compared to the rest because the plotlines are pretty much identical—a villainized opponent wants to destroy Rocky and become the next heavyweight champion. Rocky once again finds himself forced out of retirement and trains extensively to fight for his…

    The Monuments Men

    ★½

More like Monuments Meh. A documentary of the actual Monuments Men would have been more interesting than this. The all-star cast seemed like a ploy to promote the film (with the actors playing themselves). The scene where Bill Murray's character hears his grandson's record during Christmas felt like a cheap way to move the audience and really did nothing to build upon his character or the story. Even the supposed tension between Murray and Bob Balaban's character was barely there.…
