This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Joker's sense of humor in this is spot on. As always, incredible work from Hamill. And there's plenty of emotion packed into this.

Some of these animated DC movies sometimes feel like they're too quick of pace, and they need room to breath. This one definitely felt that way for me, but doesn't take anything away from how good it is already.

The 90s animated batman aesthetic is excellent.

Much more traditional than the first, possibly because it set the table for modern superhero movies the way the are. But I think I prefer the first. Although, I’ve heard the Donner cut is better so I’ll reserve final judgement for when I see that.

    Glenn Ford!! Lee Marvin!!

Some genuinely shocking scenes in this and some of Lang’s greatest directing choices to date (of what I’ve seen of course). I’m fascinated by the camera movement in this film and could probably talk for hours about that alone.

The characters are so genuine and great.

A romantic comedy where literally no single character actually listens to anyone (including themselves). Everyone just talks at each other and learns nothing.

And yet, I loved following this protagonist. Maybe it’s the Albert Brooks charm. Maybe it’s the silent comedy-esque physical humor. I don’t know. He’s almost like romantic comedy Howie from Uncut Gems. A complete anxiety-inducing fuck-up that you can’t help but root for.

I think maybe just the endless worry of whether you are doing the right…
