I fell in love with the four of them: Yi, Everest, Jin, Peng. It was a heartwarming coming of age animation film that hit closer to home (being Asian-American and all). I have a crush on Jin, his character development was my favorite.
The healing energy of all of this was much needed.

I enjoyed it. It wasn't anything ground breaking, but it was fun and wholesome, made me want to relive my high school days if only to do different things. I liked Peter's persona here, he's the goofy kid who has to LITERALLY fight against opposing forces along side the average high schooler's fight against social hierarchy and puberty. (But I think Tom Holland makes it hard to believe the puberty part lol.) The movie left me wanting more of MJ as a character, but already she is a favorite. I look froward to the next movie.

I thought I was going to hate the movies because of the main characters and their typical "white people" horror ways, but actually, I started to appreciate the storytelling of Coming of Age, so by the end of it I felt a solid respect for it. As a kid I couldn't read these books, bad juju or something, but maybe, now that I'm armed with a better understanding I can go back and read them.
