the bleak, drab, flat 90s look to this actually really really works in its favor
surprisingly effective adaptation - this won't be for everyone (I could see some fans of the show picking this apart) but for the time this is pretty solid stuff.
there's a few (admittedly smaller) scenes here that I'd go as far to say work better than the show, and I do think it's because of the presentation in some regards - again the aesthetic really nails it
