    Predator has always been hit or miss in terms of quality, and it's nice to see a movie that understands the essence of a Predator movie. The movie manages to keep the suspense going from early on, and doesn't give many moments of quietness, giving you the feeling of the hunt, and an understanding of what it takes to survive against a near-unkillable alien.

    While the special effects are lacking, this modern Japanese film, manages to tell an interesting story that takes the view from the political response to a Godzilla scenario, and how it would be solved both through national politics as well as foreign. An enjoyable movie that seems to understand Godzilla a lot more than its Hollywood counterparts.

    As a communist at heart this movie is close and personal to me. Having read some of Fred Hamptons work, I was afraid that this movie would miss the message as Hollywood so often does when it deals with socialist revolutionaries.
