Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) are two high school kids living in San Dimas, California. They also want to play in their rock band "The Wyld Stallyns". They are also not very bright and might fail their history course which would mean having failed school entirely. But they're also the hope of the planet for a better future which is why Rufus (the excellent George Carlin) travels back in time help them with their history report. With a time travel phone booth they get historic figures like Napoleon and Sigmund Freud and take them to San Dimas where all hell breaks loose.
This so is a movie of the 1980s. It's bold, funny, over the top but with a big heart and this special vibe that somehow got lost during the 1990s. God knows why I keep going back to those movies but it's great fun whenever I do. If you have not seen this movie, go watch it and dive into a time when movies didn't always have to make sense and nobody cared. Be excellent to each other and party on dudes!
