Tbh this ate Nomadland’s lunch a full two years early. Unlike Nomadland this movie has something to say about the nature of living outside of social norms, the pitfalls and the joys and the terrors. Its characters hold incredible depth within their silences and their short interactions, just masterful work on both lead’s parts. An effortless tone piece, no moment is wasted. So damn good.
