Call Me by Your Name ★★★★

"I remember everything"

Ever since the trailer came out I was suddenly interested in this. I've not heard about it before, not even the book so once it started getting buzz during award season I became 100% invested.
It never played in my town, only in the city next to me, but I never got the chance to see it in the cinema. I knew I wasn't going to catch it until dvd release so I decided to read the book. If you follow me on twitter (shameless promo) you'll know I literally had a breakdown because of it. I couldn't stop thinking about it for a week because I related to Elio so much.

There is so much of me that I saw in Elio it hurt to read/watch at times. Timothée Chalamet played the part perfectly and Armie Hammer is definitely Oliver.
The film was just so beautiful to look at. This is my first film from Luca Guadagnino, and wow it was quite something. I'll have to watch more of his films soon.

In terms of how accurate it was to the book, what it gets, it gets right, but there was a lot that was cut out, but made sense for the film. I don't see why it needs a sequel, it was fine how it ended, but of course /those/ parts from the 3rd half of the book should be acknowledged because it was very emotional to read.

I can't recommend this to everyone, but if you're deciding to watch it, please take the time to check it out
