Youssef Hanna’s review published on Letterboxd :
This film is absolutely stunning. I can't believe I held off watching this for so long. It is a modern french masterpiece in my opinion. Everything from the writing, directing, blocking, cinematography, subtext, even the humor is just spot on. I love its take on cultural and political issues in (then) modern day France - it's so genuine. This is the type of film that I watch and I just feel this insane amount of inspiration to shoot a black and white film on actual film. I love it. Acting was absolutely superb from all of the cast members - I am blown away by their ability and agility handling each of their roles. I'm just in awe, I don't know what to say. I love the Criterion Channel and I'm definitely purchasing this on blu ray as well.
*Watched on the Criterion Channel.
