American Psycho 2000
Tough to pin this one down. The parts of this movie that work, work well. Bale commits to the role of this deranged Wall Street-money boy so thoroughly that it’s almost alarming. The scenarios can be…truly mortifying. I just think some parts possibly drag a bit much, which was starting to take my attention away for a minute. But the strength of the majority of the film makes up for it. Never personally seen anything quite like American Psycho before. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to return some videotapes.

Tamako Love Story 2014
A different direction from the source material to be sure, but a welcome one I’d say, Tamako Love Story is exactly what the title states: a love story.
