  Sports movies don’t usually grip me but this was great. A conventional drama with funny moments and shocking moments, takes a dark turn in the third act. Zac Efron really impresses. I will say some of the dialogue and beats run a little flat for my taste, and the film doesn’t do a lot for it’s female characters, but I enjoyed it.
