Cecil Selwyn’s review published on Letterboxd:
I love rock operas. This is the ultimate one.
The main point to make is just how fun Paradise is. Every song is a banger. Everything from the editing to the acting to the set design bleeds campy goodness. It's a movie that feels like the 70s, but also pretty timeless, and one of the most breezy films to rewatch again and again.
It also has depth. The interplay between art and business, producer and musician, is a fascinating study in subject matter that if anything continues to grow more relevant.
Anyhow, Paradise is an unfortunately obscure gem that I'm glad I discovered.
