Minari

Minari ★★★★½

Minari may be my favorite movie of the year so far.

Soulful, sincere, and just an all-around stunning slice-of-life story that deftly deconstructs the “American Dream.” From the first scene, I was instantly fascinated by this family and absorbed in their adventures.

Lee Isaac Chung is truly such a titanic talent, and I hope that awards bodies also properly praise Steven Yeun’s subtly stirring performance this fall.
