Zach Gilbert’s review published on Letterboxd:
TIFF 2020 - Film #1
My first 5-star review for Loud and Clear Reviews, and it couldn’t be for a more worthy film.
Simply put, Nomadland is cinema at its most captivating and compassionate, guided by Chloé Zhao’s deft and delicate direction and Frances McDormand’s raw restraint in the lead role.
It’s an earnest and empathetic epic on an intimate scale. An American odyssey for the ages, if you will.
I adored every minute.
